PK-PALFINGER KRAN d.o.o. has delivered a vehicle equipped with a PALFINGER PK 14.501K SLD 5 crane and an SKK115-3.8 rear tipping municipal body to Ponikve eko otok Krk d.o.o. Mounted on a MAN TGS 18.440 LL 4×2 chassis with a wheelbase of 3,900 mm, the body is designed for collecting, loading and transporting various types of waste material.

The crane is installed behind the cab and features four hydraulic extensions, a rotator and a 270-litre orange peel grab. This combination enables the handling of loose and bulky materials, making everyday municipal operations easier.

Scanreco radio remote control provides precise crane operation, while the HPSC-E system monitors stability during use. Stabiliser position monitoring and crane transport position monitoring provide additional support for the operator.

The SKK115-3.8 rear tipping municipal body has internal dimensions of 3,800 × 2,300 × 2,000 mm, with fixed side walls and a front wall incorporating an opening for the crane. The rear double doors open outwards through an angle of up to 270°, providing a clear opening width of 2,300 mm. The doors are secured by a three-point mechanical locking system.

Tipping is pneumatically controlled from inside the cab. Combining a crane and grab with a rear tipping municipal body allows a single vehicle to load, transport and unload materials, improving efficiency in municipal operations.
