A special conversion has been completed for VICTOR ENERGY, with a PALFINGER PK 33002 EH crane installed on a used PRINOTH Panther T16 crawler carrier supplied by the customer. This project demonstrates how existing equipment can be adapted to new tasks by combining a crawler carrier with a hydraulic loader crane.
To provide sufficient space for the crane behind the cab, the original cargo bed, initially 5,500 mm long, had to be shortened. Alongside the cargo bed modification and crane installation, preparations were made for the subsequent installation of a factory winch at the front of the vehicle.
The PALFINGER PK 33002 EH features six hydraulic boom extensions, providing an outreach of up to 16.8 metres, and radio remote control, allowing the operator to work from a position with a clear view of the working area. The HPSC system monitors stability during operation, while PALTRONIC 50 manages the crane’s safety functions.
The installation also includes an additional BS002H stabiliser beam with hydraulically pivoting stabiliser legs as part of the vehicle’s stabilisation system during crane operation.
The conversion has created a specialised vehicle for transporting and handling loads in areas with difficult access. The VICTOR ENERGY project demonstrates a solution tailored to the existing vehicle and the customer’s specific requirements, extending PK’s expertise in bodies, truck upgrades and truck solutions to crawler carriers.
