The company PALFINGER officially opened its new production facility in Niš on April 30, 2026, further strengthening its global production network and presence in Europe. This modern industrial site represents an important step in the company’s continued development. The company operates under the name Palfinger proizvodnja d.o.o.
Representatives of PK d.o.o. from Kukuljanovo and Palfinger Srbija d.o.o. from Pančevo, long-standing partners and distributors of PALFINGER equipment, were also present at the opening ceremony, supporting this significant event.
Palfinger PK1650 TEC at the Center of the Event
The event also featured the impressive Palfinger PK1650 TEC crane, recently delivered from the production facility of PK d.o.o., for the long-term partner Beokran d.o.o. from Belgrade, which regularly renews its truck-mounted superstructures and Palfinger cranes in cooperation with PK d.o.o.
The crane is mounted on a Volvo FH500HP 10×4 Rigid vehicle and represents a heavy-duty solution equipped with a G-extension and an additional articulated PJ240E fly-jib.
This configuration enables:
- a vertical reach of over 35 meters
- a horizontal reach of up to 21 meters
- a maximum lifting capacity of up to 32,000 kg
Operation is based on the advanced PALTRONIC 180 system, combined with a highly precise LX-6 control valve, ensuring exceptionally safe and precise load handling.
The superstructure includes a TS-5.1 body with a usable length of 5,100 mm, with a hydraulically extendable rear section providing an additional 1,000 mm. For safe operation in low-visibility conditions, the vehicle is additionally equipped with LED work lights.
Modern Production and Strategic Location
The facility in Niš covers a total of 15,000 m² of production space and an additional 3,000 m² of office space. Construction began as a greenfield project in 2022, while production was launched in 2025.
The plant manufactures steel components and sub-assemblies for PALFINGER loader cranes, which are directly integrated into production processes at other European facilities, including Lengau (Austria) and Maribor (Slovenia).

This investment further confirms PALFINGER’s long-term strategy focused on strengthening its production capacities in Europe, increasing efficiency, and ensuring high product quality.
With the opening of the Niš facility, PALFINGER continues to invest in modern and sustainable industry, further reinforcing its position as one of the world’s leading providers of lifting and load-handling solutions.

Furthermore, PK d.o.o. is the owner of Palfinger Srbija d.o.o., which has been operating in Pančevo since 2004 as the official distributor for Palfinger cranes, as well as a manufacturer of truck-mounted superstructures and a provider of service and technical support to customers in the Serbian market.
In the coming period, further strengthening of cooperation with the new production facility in Niš is expected, through the exchange of experience, knowledge, and the use of advanced technologies within the PALFINGER production network.
