A specialised municipal truck solution for the efficient emptying of underground and semi-underground waste containers has been completed for Komunalno društvo Čistoća d.o.o. Rijeka.

KD Čistoća is responsible for waste collection and disposal, cleaning public areas, and maintaining public sanitary facilities, beaches and green spaces.

A PALFINGER EPSILON C70G77 municipal crane, featuring a hydraulic outreach of 7.7 metres, was installed on the rear section of the roof of the FAUN Variopress refuse collection body. The truck upgrade was carried out on a MAN TGS 26.440 6×2-4 BL chassis.

The crane is equipped with an XST device and a PZC 250PR container-emptying device with a lifting capacity of 2,500 kg, a mushroom/ring lifting system and a double hook. Additional stabiliser cylinders ensure safe and stable operation.

A key feature of this truck solution is the integration of the crane with the FAUN waste-compaction system. Both systems are powered by a single pump installed on the vehicle, while the compaction cycle can be activated using the crane’s remote control. This provides the operator with simpler, safer and more efficient control of all working operations.
