PK-PALFINGER KRAN d.o.o. has delivered a new specialised tow truck to Usluga Poreč, designed for lifting, removing and transporting illegally parked and other passenger vehicles. The superstructure was installed on an IVECO Eurocargo ML120EL chassis and comprises a PALFINGER PK 17500 T crane and an F100 fixed platform.
Usluga Poreč d.o.o. is a municipal services company that performs a wide range of activities in the City of Poreč. Its operations include street cleaning and maintenance of public green spaces, parking management and fee collection, funeral services, as well as the management of the local market, fish market and marina. As part of its parking operations, the company also removes illegally parked vehicles using specialised tow trucks. Usluga Poreč regularly renews its fleet with various types of municipal vehicles and equipment fitted with PALFINGER cranes, further improving the efficiency, safety and quality of its daily operations.
The PALFINGER PK 17500 T crane is installed behind the vehicle cab and equipped with four hydraulic extensions. For safe, stable and precise operation, it features the Paltronic 50 control system, the ISC-S stability monitoring system, stabiliser position monitoring and hydraulic stabilisers. The crane is additionally equipped with a 4.5-tonne rotator and a hydraulic lifting crossbeam. A set of wheel clamps with securing straps was also supplied, enabling vehicles to be safely lifted by their wheels.
The F100 fixed platform has internal dimensions of 5,000 × 2,350 mm. It features a welded steel structure with a non-slip loading surface, integrated load-securing points and wheel chocks.
For improved visibility and safety during interventions, the vehicle is equipped with an LED warning panel on the cab roof, six LED warning lights and two LED work lights mounted on the front wall of the platform. Practical storage boxes for tools and additional equipment have also been installed on the chassis.
The combination of the PALFINGER crane, hydraulic lifting crossbeam, wheel clamps and fixed platform enables the fast and safe lifting, loading and transportation of passenger vehicles. The new tow truck is therefore fully equipped for the daily operations of Usluga Poreč.
