[vc_row][vc_column][vc_column_text css=””]The first brand-new five-axle truck<\/strong> of its kind in Croatia has been delivered to Velebit Promet d.o.o., based in Dugo Selo. The vehicle is a Scania R 650 V8 10\u00d74*6, equipped with a steerable and liftable rear axle. PK d.o.o. from Rijeka has fitted it with a Palfinger PK 165.002 TEC7<\/a> crane. <\/p>\n

This Scania, with five axles and the most powerful 650 hp V8 engine currently available, comes fully equipped\u2014everything except leather interior. The chassis is custom-built to handle the challenges of transporting and handling specialized heavy loads. This custom truck build delivers a payload capacity of 16,400 kg, a key priority during the design and production process for Velebit\u2019s brand-new Scania. To ensure maximum stability during heavy load handling, the superstructure features six stabilizers\u2014two on each side and two at the front. <\/p>\n

The crane installed is one of the most powerful models in Palfinger\u2019s product range. It comes with eight hydraulic extensions and an additional articulated jib (fly jib), offering a maximum working height of 35 meters. The crane\u2019s lifting capacity reaches an impressive 32,000 kg. It is also equipped with a hydraulic winch boasting a pulling force of 3,500 kg and a cable length of 90 meters. For rapid switching between attachments, the crane includes Palfinger\u2019s multifunctional adapter, compatible with the fly jib, hook, work basket, and other equipment. A 200 kg work basket for two persons was delivered with the crane.
The crane is enhanced with numerous comfort features that make the operator\u2019s job easier and more efficient, including: <\/p>\n

HPSC \u2013 operation in confined spaces where stabilizers can\u2019t be fully extended<\/p>\n

HPSC LOAD \u2013 uses the truck\u2019s load as a counterweight to increase crane reach<\/p>\n

P-FOLD \u2013 assists with folding\/unfolding the crane with a single button<\/p>\n

RTC \u2013 automatic rope tension control during crane operation<\/p>\n

Crane functions are controlled via the PALcom P7 remote control, developed by Palfinger. Its centerpiece is a 4.1-inch color TFT display.
In addition to the crane, the truck features a modular platform<\/a> measuring 5,000 mm in length, along with a custom-designed hydraulic oil tank (500 l) and a diesel tank (700 l), allowing more space for toolboxes on the truck chassis. The Scania is also equipped with additional LED work lights mounted on the front wall and along the sides. <\/p>\n
