[vc_row][vc_column][vc_column_text css=””]The first brand-new five-axle truck of its kind in Croatia has been delivered to Velebit Promet d.o.o., based in Dugo Selo. The vehicle is a Scania R 650 V8 10\u00d74*6, equipped with a steerable and liftable rear axle. PK d.o.o. from Rijeka has fitted it with a Palfinger<\/a> PK 165.002 TEC7<\/a> crane.<\/p>\n

This Scania, with five axles and the most powerful 650 hp V8 engine currently available, comes fully equipped\u2014everything except leather interior. The chassis is custom-built to handle the challenges of transporting and handling specialized heavy loads.<\/p>\n

As for the crane, it\u2019s one of the most powerful models in Palfinger\u2019s lineup. The truck body offers an impressive payload capacity of 16400 kg, which was a top priority during the design and production of this special build for Velebit\u2019s new Scania. Stability during heavy lifting is ensured by six stabilizers\u2014two on each side and two at the front.<\/p>\n

The installed Palfinger crane features eight hydraulic extensions and an additional articulated jib (fly jib), giving it a maximum working height of 35 meters. The crane boasts a stunning maximum lifting capacity of 32,000 kg. It\u2019s also equipped with a hydraulic winch rated at 3,500 kg pulling force, with a 90-meter cable. For quick attachment changes, the crane includes Palfinger\u2019s multifunctional adapter, compatible with various tools such as the fly jib, hook, work platform, and more. A work platform with a 200 kg capacity, suitable for two operators, was also supplied with the crane.
\nTo enhance operator efficiency and safety, the crane is fitted with a suite of smart functions, including:
\nHPSC \u2013 allows crane operation in tight spaces where stabilizers can\u2019t be fully extended
\nHPSC LOAD \u2013 uses the truck\u2019s cargo as counterweight to increase reach and stability
\nP-FOLD \u2013 one-button automatic folding\/unfolding of the crane
\nRTC \u2013 automatic rope tension control during crane operation<\/p>\n

The PALcom P7 remote control system, developed by Palfinger, features a 4.1-inch color TFT display as its centerpiece, offering intuitive and responsive control.
\nIn addition to the crane, the truck is fitted with a TS-5.0<\/a> modular flatbed, measuring 5000 mm in length, along with custom-designed tanks\u2014500 liters for hydraulic oil and 700 liters for diesel fuel\u2014strategically configured to free up space on the chassis for toolboxes. The vehicle is also equipped with extra LED work lights on the front wall and side panels for enhanced visibility.<\/p>\n

Velebit Promet d.o.o. specializes in the transport of heavy and oversized loads, both domestically and internationally.
