Josef, what does experience mean to you, considering that you are our \u201cvoice of the customer\u201d? What does experience as such mean to EPSILON? <\/em><\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n

Josef:<\/strong> Experience means learning \u2013 a constant process in which good and proven things are perfected. Testing new things and trying the unconventional. But it also means learning from mistakes \u2013 it is important to recognize and admit them. As long as you gain experience, build your knowledge and above all practical knowledge, you continue to grow and develop. This development can be seen and felt in the new GENERATION 3. <\/p>\n

Can you tell us more about your daily responsibilities: What was the feedback from your customers and how did it affect GENERATION 3?<\/em><\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n

Josef:<\/strong> Our customers know best what they need. For us, that means less talking and more listening. For me personally, in my job, that means being as close to the customers as possible. That means visiting them, talking to them directly, and doing it while they are doing their job. In this way, we learn directly from the customer what equipment they want and what equipment they need. And that is exactly what we have done for the customers with the new GENERATION 3: Reliability, durability, customer benefit and something that is certainly pleasing to the eye. <\/p>\n

Now we’ve heard a lot about experience, but how does technology come into play? How has technology evolved and improved with the new GENERATION 3? What can we expect? <\/em><\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n

Stefan:<\/strong> Without technology, our world would not look like this today. As an experience, technology also develops on the basis of what is known and proven. The most modern high-strength steels require adapted technologies in their processing. Combined with our strength \u2013 experience with steel constructions \u2013 GENERATION 3 was born: Stronger, faster, with more reach and all this without changing the weight. New technologies were also used in the hydraulics. When designing, we relied on feedback from our test drivers. Also, numerous sensors now record data. Here our motto remains the same: If something works, then we will accept it. <\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n

    With a reach of almost 11 meters, GENERATION 3 once again offers the longest reach in its class. A significantly larger working arc and a reduced number of steps required to move the truck make work much more efficient. With the goal of building a stronger crane without adding weight, we have completely redeveloped and extensively optimized the steel structure of the new GENERATION 3. Thanks to this, the expression “long, longer, longest” refers to both the reach and the service life of our cranes. <\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n

    The crane operators are at the heart of our business. We have developed the new, compact COMFORT DRIVE control system for them. The result is maximum ergonomics when operating the crane and minimal fatigue during longer tasks. The Grammer seat provides a feeling of perfect comfort. Due to the hydraulic control system, the crane controls are highly sensitive and very precise. The new remote control options offer a firm grip in every situation. <\/p>\n

    If the days are too short for long tasks, the new 360\u00b0 lighting system turns night into day<\/strong> to create optimal working conditions. In addition to the previous two, four additional LED spotlights ensure perfect illumination for your work environment. <\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n

    SMART CONTROL<\/h2>\n

    The new PALFINGER SMART CONTROL support system enables even faster and more intuitive control of the crane and is available as an option of the new GENERATION 3 for use on and off the road. When designing the crane, we took into account the locations of the SMART CONTROL sensors and fully integrated them into the overall system. SMART CONTROL sensors allow managers to fully focus on log manipulation, reducing work effort and time needed to train new managers. Raising the bar for practicality and safety, SMART CONTROL is initially available for L and Z cranes with the TEC CAB control system and for generation 3 models with double telescope. <\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n
