PALFINGER platform on a night visit to London

In the heart of London is the highest wheel in the world, the most popular tourist attraction in England. At a height of 135 meters, in glass capsules, it offers visitors a breathtaking view of the entire London. Because of its size, regular maintenance is a big challenge, so Orion Access Services applies two PALFINGER platforms.

Maintenance works were performed during the night hours, to avoid daily crowds, with the help of the extremely flexible platforms WT610 and P550. Three people had to climb up to 50 meters to lubricate and look at the rear cables. The WT610 was used straight up to the top, while the P550 used its own as a flexible arm and an X-jib that skillfully crossed every obstacle.
