Dalekovod d.d. has received a new vehicle upgrade featuring a Palfinger PK 78002D SH crane and a TS-6.2 platform with internal dimensions of 6200x2480x600 mm. The setup is mounted on a MAN TGS 41.500 8×8 BB chassis. Alongside the upgraded truck, a single-axle PRT 100 trailer for transporting concrete poles was also delivered.
The Palfinger PK 78002 SH crane is one of the most powerful knuckle boom cranes in the Palfinger lineup, with a maximum lifting capacity of 25 tons and a maximum outreach of 20.4 meters when equipped with the G extension. The crane features an endless slewing angle and two slewing drive motors for increased slewing torque and compensation of any play in the slewing ring.
A key advantage of this crane is the “Power Link Plus” system — a double linkage on the knuckle boom that enables the boom to extend at a negative angle of 15 degrees upwards, making it extremely versatile for tight spaces and complex operations. In addition to the crane, the truck is equipped with a modular platform featuring aluminum side panels and a detachable turntable for transporting poles.
The PK PRT 100 pole transport trailer has a gross mass of 10000 kg and a payload capacity of 8270 kg. The trailer is fitted with a rotating bearing that allows the pole transport structure to rotate, ensuring flexibility and ease of maneuvering during operations.
