Trgometal d.o.o. is a company specializing in high-quality services in the fabrication and assembly of steel structures, process plant overhauls, and the operation of cranes, mobile cranes, and specialized transport. Established in 1981, the company employs 40 highly skilled professionals and is regularly engaged in some of the most demanding construction projects, including shopping centers, sports halls, and various types of bridges.
Trgometal owns an extensive fleet of machinery, which is continuously upgraded to meet the latest technological standards in lifting and construction equipment. Last week, the company became the proud owner of the most powerful Palfinger knuckle boom crane in Croatia — the PK 165.002 TEC7. This crane boasts a maximum lifting capacity of 32 tonnes and features an 8-stage hydraulic G extension. It is among the lightest in its class and stands out for its advanced control systems and impressive lifting power — thanks in part to the S-HPLS system, which increases lifting force by reducing speed. In addition to its power, the crane offers outstanding precision. It is equipped with the Power Link Plus system, enabling the knuckle boom to operate at a negative angle of 15°, allowing for load handling through tight spaces or indoors.
The delivered setup includes a hydraulically folding fly-jib with a reach of 35.3 meters. The fly-jib features a multifunction adapter that can accommodate a work basket for two persons with a load capacity of 200 kg. A hydraulic winch with a 90-meter rope is also mounted on the crane, with automatic winding and unwinding synchronized with crane operation.
The crane is equipped with the P-Fold system, which assists the operator during folding and unfolding, speeding up the process and reducing the risk of damage. The crane and stabilizers are controlled by the user-friendly PALcom P7 radio control. It features the most advanced radio control system on the market, fully designed and developed by Palfinger engineers. Another key function of the crane is the Soft Stop system, which prevents abrupt halting during crane operation. When stopping the telescopic extension, the system ensures gradual deceleration rather than an immediate stop, resulting in reduced vibrations and safer load handling.
In addition to the crane, a TS-3.7 steel truck bed was mounted on a Volvo FH 500 8×2, with internal dimensions of 3700 x 2420 x 400 mm. The entire upgrade was completed by PK d.o.o., further reinforcing its position as a regional leader in complex vehicle upgrades. Two more deliveries of the same crane model are planned for this year, marking PK d.o.o.’s 25th anniversary in business with pride.
