Palfinger PK 135.002 TEC7 – specialist for heavy loads and extra work

Palfinger – the world’s largest manufacturer of hydraulic truck cranes in the world – has introduced a new model of the TEC series crane. It is a PK 135.002 TEC 7 crane that offers an incredible weight crane ratio and its performance. The crane can be equipped with three types of additional hydraulic flywheel (fly-jib), which enables the retraction and lifting moment comparable to the Palfinger cranes even two classes more. The new model PK 135.002 is as much as 2.000 kg lighter than its older brother PK 150.002, primarily due to the new P-profile that makes the crane lighter and at the same time offers a 35% better performance in combination with a fly-jib.

The crane is multifunctional and looks great when it comes to heavy loads, precise manipulation of loads, where extra work is needed, but in handling container handling and roof assembly jobs.

The Palfinger PK 135.002 TEC7 crane can be mounted on a 4-axle gross weight of 32t, with a payload of 2500-3,000 kg or a 40-weight 40-tonne 5-axle with about 8,000 kg of useful payload. For these trucks, no extra transport is required.

The crane has innovative Palfinger options that “hide” under MEXT, TOOL, and WEIGHT. The MEXT option allows the use of one or two mechanical extensions to be monitored by sensors and their work can be integrated into the overloading system. The TOOL option offers a multifunctional adapter (MFA) to connect additional tools. The WEIGH option allows the operator to measure the weight of the lifting cargo. In addition to these new operator options, PK 135.002 TEC7 can use existing well-tested Palfinger options such as P-Fold, DPS-C and HPSC-Plus GEOM. The P-Fold option offers the operator to dial and unplug the crane via one command. The DPS-C option dramatically increases the load lifting power on the fly-jib, taking into account the weight of the load and the weight of the truck with the load. The HPSC-Plus GEOM provides a similar effect when considering the weight of the load and the position of the drawn stabilizers. The operator can lift the load much harder when the stabilizers are not pulled maximum because the HPSC-Plus GEOM system allows it to take into account the weight of the load and the position of the drawn stabilizers.

Premier of crane was held at the Transport Swiss fair held in Bern from 16 to 19 November 2017. and at the Solutrans Fair in Lyon on November 25.
