P280AXE – Maximum range in the tightest of spaces

Palfinger Platforms Italy presents its latest access platform: the P280AXE. The new model is perfect for applications that provide limited space but nevertheless require extensive reach of the access platform. The P280AXE has an extremely compact design while still offering an impressive working height of up to 28 metres and a lateral reach of 15 metres. The developers also placed particular focus on the ergonomic design.

The P280AXE is the latest representative of the “Smart Class”. With this model series, Palfinger Platforms Italy (PPI) developed a particularly compact design for access platforms. This is clearly reflected in the P280AXE: The platform has a total length of only 6.89 metres and a gross weight of no more than 6 tonnes. This is contrasted with a great working height of 28 metres and a maximum lateral reach of 15 metres, making the P280AXE the right piece of equipment for applications providing limited space.

Range adapted to situation
The individual stabilisation widths create additional room for manoeuvre. With a smaller stabilisation area, the P280AXE determines the maximum range depending on the situation. This ensures safety and makes it easy to obtain the maximum reach from tight conditions. Regardless of the stabilisation width, the main boom can be rotated 360° and the basket itself 90° left and right.

Ergonomic design
During the development of the P280AXE, particular importance was attached to an ergonomic design for the entry area or control elements, for example. The collision protection also provides protection for the operator. It prevents collisions between the platform and cab and the individual components of the platform itself.

The extensive technical support that is characteristic of PPI is of course provided for the new model of the “Smart Class”, too. Experienced service technicians and a strong network of dealers are available to answer all questions relating to the new access platform.
