Meeting Held at the Ministry of Economy with Honorary Consul of Croatia in Salzburg, Hubert Palfinger

On November 19, 2014, the Croatian Minister of Economy, Ivan Vrdoljak, and Deputy Minister Alen Liverić held a meeting with Hubert Palfinger, Honorary Consul of the Republic of Croatia in Salzburg. The main topic of discussion was economic cooperation and diplomacy between Croatia and Austria, with the primary objective of encouraging foreign investment in Croatia and improving the international presentation of the country.

“The relationship between our two countries is very strong and friendly, with well-established economic ties, particularly between Austria and Croatia,” said Minister Vrdoljak. He emphasized that the Ministry of Economy is committed to continuously opening new channels for economic collaboration”.
The Minister also highlighted the importance of the Consulate opening in Salzburg as a key step in further strengthening bilateral relations. Minister Vrdoljak invited the Honorary Consul—himself a successful entrepreneur—to explore cooperation opportunities in the energy sector, particularly in the context of new oil and gas exploration projects in Croatia, as well as in other industrial sectors and potential expansion of production activities in Croatia.
Prior to his visit to the Ministry of Economy, the Honorary Consul also met with First Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign and European Affairs, Vesna Pusić, to discuss economic diplomacy between the two countries.
