The PPRS 48 extendable semitrailer, manufactured by PK-Palfinger Kran, has been developed for the safe and efficient transport of heavy, long, and demanding loads such as construction machinery, work equipment, and industrial machines. The semitrailer is built on a robust welded chassis with a low loading height of approximately 900 mm, allowing easy and safe loading and unloading operations. The loading platform, with a base length of 9,200 mm, can be telescopically extended by an additional 4,000 mm, providing exceptional flexibility for transporting non-standard and oversized cargo.

The semitrailer has a technical gross weight of approximately 48,000 kg and a payload capacity of around 39,040 kg. It is equipped with three SAF axles (one fixed and two steering axles) with air suspension and ride height adjustment, ensuring excellent stability, safety, and manoeuvrability under all driving conditions.

Traffic safety is further enhanced by advanced EBS, ALB, and TRS braking systems, while the extensive standard equipment, extendable platform, and preparation for abnormal transport operations make the PPRS 48 a reliable solution for professional transport operators and demanding transport tasks.

EBS (Electronic Braking System) electronically controls the braking of the semi-trailer and synchronises it with the braking system of the towing vehicle. ALB (Automatic Load-dependent Braking) automatically adjusts braking force according to the load, optimising braking performance whether the semi-trailer is empty or fully loaded. The third system, TRS (Trailer Roll Stability), is an anti-roll stability system that monitors lateral acceleration and trailer inclination, particularly during cornering and evasive manoeuvres.

Together, these systems ensure maximum braking safety, improved vehicle control, enhanced cornering stability, and safer transport of heavy and specialised loads.
