PK-Palfinger Kran d.o.o. has successfully completed the delivery of a SP160-5.2 forestry body for the company UPTO Benšak d.o.o. The body was installed on a Volvo FH 460 truck with a 3900 mm wheelbase and is intended for the transport and handling of timber assortments.

The vehicle is equipped with an EPSILON M110Z79 crane with a Z-type boom system and a maximum outreach of 7.9 m, enabling precise and efficient loading and unloading of logs. The crane is fitted with a “Classic Drive” high seat with mechanical joystick control and foot pedals, providing the operator with stable and highly visible working conditions.

The system includes an FG53 grapple with a capacity of 0.50 m², while stability during operation is ensured by parallel extendable stabilizers with a width of 3.9 m, featuring automatic 45° swing, and a double slewing rack system with a slewing angle of up to 425°.

The SP160-5.2 forestry body is designed as a platform without flooring (SPBP) and equipped with ExTe stakes for log transport, an additional auxiliary stake, and supports for the grapple and crane boom.

In addition to the truck, a PSM180 forestry trailer of our own production with a gross vehicle weight of 18 t was delivered, designed for transporting timber assortments in combination with the truck-mounted body.

This configuration represents a reliable solution for forestry transport, combining a Volvo FH chassis, an EPSILON forestry crane, and the PK forestry trailer PSM180.
