The company Autoprijevoz i pilana Kulaš from Vrpolje has taken delivery of a complete forestry vehicle upgrade featuring a Palfinger Epsilon Q150Z79 crane with a reach of 7.9 meters. The upgrade is mounted on a Scania R500 B6x4HZ chassis.
The Q150Z79 forestry crane is equipped with an Epsilon log grapple with a volume of 0.50 m² and a lifting capacity of 5000 kg. Crane operation is handled from a “classic drive” high seat with mechanical levers. For night operations, the crane includes two halogen lights on the seat and two on the outer boom.
The forestry superstructure features the SP160-6.2 model forestry platform, with a length of 6200 mm, built without a floor and protected underneath with an aluminum shield. The platform includes a front and rear steel wall, a pipe storage box integrated in the front wall, and four pairs of ExTe D7 legs and stakes, each with a capacity of 7 tonnes. A dedicated support area for the grapple is installed next to the front wall.
