PK-PALFINGER KRAN d.o.o. delivered a specialized truck body to Kornat Ittica d.o.o., mounted on a MAN TGM 18.320 4×2 BL CH chassis and equipped with a PALFINGER PK 14.501 SLD 5 loader crane and a TS-4.5 platform body.

Kornat Ittica d.o.o., based in Pakoštane, operates in the mariculture sector, farming white fish in the Vrgada Channel between the islands of Vrgada and Murvenjak. The company specializes in farming European seabass and gilthead seabream, with its fish farm located in an area designated as a high-priority zone for mariculture.

The PALFINGER PK 14.501 SLD 5 loader crane is mounted behind the vehicle cab and features three hydraulic extensions, providing a hydraulic outreach of 10.3 metres, as well as Scanreco radio remote control. To ensure safe, stable and precise operation, the crane is equipped with the ISC-S stability control system, the Paltronic 40 control system and hydraulic stabilizers with position monitoring.

The TS-4.5 platform body, with internal dimensions of 4,500 × 2,480 × 600 mm, has been specially adapted to the customer’s daily fish production and transportation requirements. Its floor is made of 30 mm-thick aluminium profiles, allowing easy washing with water, improved hygiene and greater resistance to moisture and corrosion.

The front, side and rear panels are made of anodized aluminium. The platform body is also equipped with aluminium stanchions and fasteners, load-securing points, folding steps with a handrail, and mounting spaces for LED work lights. The steel components of the truck body have been metalized to ensure durability and reliable protection under demanding operating conditions.

The combination of the MAN chassis, PALFINGER loader crane and purpose-built aluminium platform body provides Kornat Ittica with a functional, reliable and durable transport solution, fully tailored to the daily requirements of the mariculture sector.
