The concrete works vessel “Plovput”, with an overall length of 48.20 meters, was delivered to Plovput d.o.o. – the company responsible for ensuring the safety of navigation in the Adriatic Sea through maritime signaling and radio communication services. The vessel plays a key role in maintaining numerous navigation points along the Croatian coast, including lighthouses.
Built at the Brodosplit shipyard, the vessel is intended for the construction of new maritime signaling structures, hydro-engineering operations at sea, and supplying lighthouses with fresh water. It has a carrying capacity of 305 tonnes and can reach speeds of over 11 knots.
Installed on the vessel is the Palfinger Marine PK 150.002 M – the most powerful marine crane in Croatia. This crane features nine hydraulic extensions with an impressive outreach of 21.5 meters, radio remote control, and a hydraulic winch with a lifting capacity of 5620 kg. Over a period of 18 months of continuous operation at sea, the vessel has experienced no technical downtime, demonstrating outstanding maritime performance and the full reliability of all onboard systems.
