The company IM-COMP from Čakovec has been delivered a vehicle upgrade featuring a Palfinger PK 12.501 SLD5 crane, a cargo platform, a tarpaulin cover, and a tandem trailer with a tarpaulin. The upgrade is mounted on a VOLVO FM 420 HP truck. The company will use the supplied truck and trailer for transporting and handling glass surfaces.

The Palfinger PK 12.501 SLD5 crane is equipped with two hydraulic extensions providing a reach of 7.8 meters. The crane is fitted with radio remote control for better visibility of the load during handling operations. The fixed cargo platform is 6200 mm long and is equipped with movable arches and a tarpaulin cover. The tarpaulin can easily be pulled over the cargo space by a single person, significantly saving time and making operations easier during frequent loading and unloading. The truck’s payload capacity is 13300 kg.

The tandem trailer PRT180 was designed and manufactured at the production facility of PK d.o.o. in the industrial zone of Kukuljanovo. The trailer is fitted with 2x9t axles and has a loading area length of 6200 mm. Just like the truck’s cargo platform, the trailer’s loading space is covered with movable arches and a tarpaulin that can be easily handled by one person, facilitating operations.
